London resilience and GLA workforce updates

2024 saw a merger of London Resilience Group and City Operations, bringing all the resilience functions under one team, reporting to the Greater London Authority’s (GLA) Executive Director of Strategy and Communications. The full merger was implemented by 1 June 2024.

The GLA says it has transformed its community engagement work since 2022, and that community groups are now more fully integrated in the partnership work. It has operated a Community Resilience Fund to support resilience related work in boroughs and has overhauled its community engagement group.

Tomorrow, the GLA Oversight Committee will discuss the community engagement, revised management arrangements and priorities of the London Resilience Group. The guests are:

  • Katherine Richardson, Director of Resilience, GLA
  • Kristen Guida, Head of Strategy, Prevention and Community Resilience, GLA
  • Steve Miller, Convenor, London Borough Faith Network

The Committee will also ask questions on the key headlines from the September 2024 GLA Workforce Report.  The guests are:

  • Shakira Keddo, Chief People Officer, GLA
  • Dianne Tranmer, Executive Director Corporate Resources and Business Improvement, GLA
  • Gemma Cullen, Deputy Assistant Director HR and OD, GLA

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 22 January from 2pm, in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
