Transport for London’s 2025-26 Budget

The Transport for London (TfL) 2025-26 Budget submission shows that passenger income is set to increase to £5.7 billion, up from £5.3 billion in 2024-25.
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will meet to question TfL on its proposed 2025-26 budget, looking at any potential fare increase for next year.

Wednesday 18 December
The Mayor of London’s Police and Crime Plan
Police and Crime Committee – Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am
The Mayor, as London’s Police and Crime Commissioner, has a statutory duty under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 to publish a Police and Crime Plan (PCP) within the financial year in which he is elected. The Plan must set out the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime’s (MOPAC’s) priorities for the Mayor’s term.
The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will question the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime on the delivery and oversight of the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan 2022-25.

Q&A with Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries
GLA Oversight Committee – Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm
The GLA Oversight Committee will review the Mayor’s new governance approach in which he will set ‘mandates’ which commission the major programmes the Greater London Authority will carry out.
There will also be a question-and-answer session with the Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries about her role, which covers major projects including transforming the East Bank in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into a new £1 billion culture and education district.

GLAP, External Relations and GLA elections planning
Audit Panel – Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm
The Audit Panel will review issues including the Mayor’s declaration for tickets to the Taylor Swift Concert at Wembley Stadium on the 15 August 2024, the GLA’s Land and Property (GLAP) governance including the management of land assets, and the Internal Audit follow up review of planning arrangements for the Mayoral and London Assembly Member elections in May 2024.
