
OPDC governance, board and committees
The OPDC Board is responsible for governing the OPDC.
The Board responsibilities include:
- providing leadership, advice and support
- setting strategic direction and overall policy
- monitoring standards, performance and corporate governance
- representing the OPDC with other stakeholders.
Planning decisions are made by our Planning Committee, which has its own Code of Conduct. The Scheme of Planning Delegations also allows the Director of Planning, or officers reporting directly to the Director of Planning, to determine planning application on behalf of OPDC.

In certain conditions decisions on planning applications can be delegated to Planning Officers
Webcasts
OPDC Board and Committee meetings can be viewed live online with links for webcasts provided in advance of the start of the meeting, but do not become live until shortly before transmission.
Archived webcasts are normally made available within a couple of hours of the meeting ending. These webcasts remain on the site for six months after the date of the meeting.
