Our vision for funding and innovation in London
With a total budget of £17 billion to oversee, the Mayor of London and his team at City Hall aim to support as many innovation projects as possible. We aim to help organisations to reach their full potential. Ultimately, we bring together people from across City Hall and the capital to improve London and change the lives of Londoners for the better.
Some of our current essential initiatives across the Funding and Innovation programme include:
- Community grants and funding - The Mayor is offering various funding opportunities for those looking to make a difference within the community. There are resources available to support COVID-19 recovery efforts and help to rebuild communities across London. Discover the grants that are available in your community and apply online today.
- Training funding - As part of the Skills for Londoners initiative, we are leading projects for training providers and learners alike. The Mayor has outlined a set of seven priorities including preventing future violence and widening participation for disabled Londoners in order to meet the targets of the Skills for Londoners Strategy. Find out more information about the mayoral priorities in our prospectus.
- Grow Back Greener - Together with Thames Water, the Mayor has allocated resources for projects focused on creating and improving green spaces specifically in areas that are prone to climate risks. By November 2022, we will have improved over 18 hectares of green space and involved over 5,000 Londoners in the project. See our Greener City map and find out more about the areas we are working with.
