Background
The challenge
In March 2020 the world was faced with a pandemic that changed the way that we lived our lives. The entire world went into a lockdown and London was no exception. We were asked to stay at home, only leave for certain exceptions, such as, daily exercise, food shopping, doctors or hospitals, to name but a few.
The pandemic posed new challenges in everyday life that most of us never thought we would have to face. The busiest city in the UK was brought to a standstill for months.
We wanted to give our members a space to discuss the difficulties they faced during the first lock down. We set up discussions and surveys to give Londoners a voice in what was happening in their city and how City Hall could support them.
Policy teamTalk London worked with several policy teams across City Hall on the different discussions and surveys, They helped us update the discussion threads with the latest relevant information and respond to some of the issues raised by members in the discussions.
