The Mayor of London invites you to the fifth annual event that City Hall will be holding, to commemorate the UNESCO International Day for Remembrance of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its Abolition. The memorial provides an inclusive space for all people to remember the victims of the transatlantic slave trade, reflect on its legacy, and honour those freedom fighters who fought for its abolition. 

Timings are subject to change. Further details including speakers, format-type (in-person, hybrid or online) will be confirmed closer to the time.

A reminder of what happened at last year's event - 2021 saw the event delivered online, to remember and honour the Transatlantic Slave Trade victims, with the theme focussed on 'Justice and Restoration'.
