The Mayor wants to make sure all Londoners have the skills they need to succeed economically and in wider society, and for businesses to have access to a pool of talent to compete in the global market.

His draft strategy on skills and adult education outlines plans to create a post-16 technical and vocational education and skills system that meets the needs of Londoners and businesses.

It also calls on London’s businesses, of all sizes and sectors, to outline what they need and what they can contribute to build the workforce of the future.

Consultation on the strategy ran from 24 November 2017 to 2 January 2018.

We received feedback from a wide range of stakeholders on skill challenges in London and how these should be addressed. Your consultation responses, plus feedback from workshops and other research we're doing, will help us refine the strategy.

The final strategy will be launched in spring 2018.
