Public meetings and report launches coming up at the London Assembly next week:

PUBLIC MEETINGS:

Plenary – 10.00am in the Chamber

The London Assembly will vote on whether to accept or reject the Mayor’s proposed revisions to the Housing Strategy.

The Assembly will question the following guests about the proposed changes,

  • Boris Johnson, Mayor of London
  • Richard Blakeway, Deputy Mayor for Housing, Land and Property
  • David Lunts, Executive Director Housing and Land

The Health Committee will launch its Diabetes report at Trafalgar Square from 9.30am

To launch the report, Members of the Health Committee will be tested for Diabetes, in a mobile testing van.

Interviewees include,

  • Former Soul II Soul singer, Melissa Bell, diabetes sufferer and mother of X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke
  • Spokespeople from Diabetes UK and Silver Star
  • Dr Onkar Sahota, Chair of the Health Committee

The event will take place on Thursday 3rd April from 9.30am to 11.00am at Trafalgar Square.
