“We respectfully ask [Commissioner Cressida Rose Dick and Detective Chief Superintendent Sue Williams] for more police on our streets and in our communities. We are desperate for more police. 999 and 101 calls don’t work because there is no one to answer them. Very frequently when we call for help there is no one available. How long can this state of affairs continue? How can you expect us to feel safe?”
