London Strategic Migration Partnership (LSMP)
Partnership aims
Across the UK, Strategic Migration Partnerships facilitate and enable collaboration between central and local government, civil society and regional and local stakeholders for the benefit of both migrants and the wider community.
The London Strategic Migration Partnership (LSMP) is chaired by Deputy Mayor for Communities and Social Justice, Dr Debbie Weekes-Bernard.
LSMP board meetings are held once a quarter. Their purpose is to develop and maintain a strategic overview of key issues for migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum in London to maximise opportunities for social integration.
London SMP officers are based in the GLA Migration Team. In addition to enabling LSMP meetings and other forums, they carry out work for the benefit of resettled refugees, people seeking asylum, and people with English language needs.
