The research
London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) is committed to a Child First approach, centred on putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do.
Our Young People’s Action Group (YPAG) is fundamental to this approach. A team of young people aged 16-24 with a diverse range of experience, the YPAG are paid members of staff who co-design, co-develop and co-deliver on policies and programmes.
This page provides resources co-developed with our Young People’s Action Group. Our information guide has been created to support organisations of any shape and size to meaningfully work alongside young Londoners.
Young People Action Group: information guide
This information guide has been created to support organisations of any shape and size to meaningfully work alongside young Londoners.
This sets out our youth led participation values and how we provide support to youth voice within the VRU.
Forthcoming resources
The VRU has partnered with the Innovation Unit to provide a series of deliverables to evaluate the YPAG model and to build an evidence base around youth participation.
This work will be co-developed and delivered with young people who will be trained as peer researchers as part of the project.
