By submitting your question via the online chat function, upvoting or commenting, you are giving consent to the Greater London Authority to display your name and borough on screen, as well as the future use of any photos, images or videos from the event.

Only one ticket will be issued per registration.  Each registration must be made in the name of the person applying for a ticket. Tickets are non-transferable.

Photo ID will be required to enter to event, which must match the name on the ticket.  

Any minors attending, do not require a ticket or photo ID, but must be accompanied by a ticketholder aged 18 and over. 

Tickets, including venue details, will be dispatched on Monday 9 December.

Tickets are allocated tickets in the order they are received, one ticket per application.

Your e-ticket will be issued, along with venue details, on Monday 9 December. This will be sent to your email address, via our third party provider, Eventbrite. 

Please note that the same email cannot be used for multiple tickets.

Venue details will be provided with tickets on Monday 9 December 2024.

Tickets do not guarantee entry. We operate an oversubscription policy, whereby we issue more tickets than the venue capacity to account for no-shows. This is based on historical data. Tickets therefore do not guarantee entry, which is based on those ticketholders who arrive first and are allocated seats up to the point we reach venue capacity.

Please make sure you arrive on time. Doors will open from 5.30pm onwards, before the event starts.

Once you receive your ticket, you will need to bring a form of ID. 

Photo ID must be original and in date (copies and out of date ID won’t be accepted). If you cannot provide this proof, you will be refused entry. Please see a full list of accepted photo ID:

Please note that only adults aged 18 or over need to bring ID on the day – it is not required for children under 18, although anyone who looks older than the specified age limit may be required to show proof of age in order to be admitted.

People's Question Time is a free event for Londoners. It's an opportunity to put your questions to the Mayor of London and the London Assembly about your city.

The London Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account, examining his decisions, ensuring he delivers on his promises to Londoners. Assembly Members publicly exam policies and programmes through committee meetings, plenary sessions, site visits and investigations.

There will be a series of core topics discussed on the night such as transport, policing and safety, housing, air quality and the environment and London's economy. Questions that fall outside of these core topics can be asked in the final open section.

You can find out more about the role of the Mayor of London. 

We expect up to 6 questions (approximately) to be asked and answered in each of the main topic sections, but this may be more or less depending on time constraints. There is a chance of less questions being answered should there be any unforeseen issues.

The Chair will direct each question to the Mayor and/or Assembly Members for a response. Questions are intercepted live from the audience, therefore the Mayor nor Assembly Members will have access to the questions in advance.

We cannot guarantee that your question will be asked on the night.

If you are attending in-person the Chair will randomly select members of the audience from the floor to ask their question.

If you are viewing via the livestream and have registered online you can submit your questions via the live chat function on the night. The most popular question as voted for by livestream viewers will then be asked by the Chair to the panel.

For either option, we cannot guarantee that your question will be selected on the night. The Chair will try to get through as many questions as possible in the time available.

If your question doesn't get asked on the night, you can contact the Mayor after the event. We will aim to respond within 20 working days.

Owing to online safeguarding issues you must be 16 or over to take part.

There are a series of topics being discussed on the night including transport, policing and safety, air quality and the environment, housing London’s economy. There will be a final section where any other questions within the Mayor’s remit can be asked – for example about culture or education. Prior notice will be given in the lead up to the event, should the topic details change.

There will be a BSL interpreter live at the venue and also on-screen for those viewing online, including subtitles on the screen via a palantypist throughout the event. A full transcript of the event will be available on request. The venue chosen will be fully accessible. 

If watching online, you will need to have digital access.

To be able to receive an in-person ticket for this event, you must register as instructed above for a chance to receive a ticket. Applicants will be notified week commencing 9 December 2024, where your ticket will be sent to the email address you provided by a third party (Eventbrite).

You can use your confirmation either on your device or printed off as your ticket for entry to the venue. 

Entry to the venue is on a first come, first served basis, and is not guaranteed.

If watching online, you will receive a livestream link to the event. The benefit of registering is the ability to type your question into the live chat forum on the night. These are then put to the Mayor and London Assembly by the Chair. We cannot guarantee that your question will be asked on the night however.

As we want to get through as many questions as possible, from as many people as possible live at the venue, please make sure to:

• ask only one question
• stay on topic, such as transport, housing etc
• keep questions concise and to the point.

We want to ensure that Londoners get to ask their questions to the PQT panel, but we will not subject them, or viewers of the event, to abuse. Questions will, therefore, be moderated before they are posted to the live chat, and those that contain swearing, defamatory or illegal remarks or engage in ‘trolling’ will not be posted.

Questions that are off-topic, during a specific topic session, will also be discarded. We cannot guarantee that your question will be asked on the night.
