    • Reference: 2023/2614
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 22 June 2023
Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/1879, in which you said: “officers have progressed the redesign of 14 schemes through the Stage 2 referral process to include a second staircase. […] There are a further 40 schemes which have either been referred to me at Stage 1 or have received a resolution to grant planning permission from the boroughs, which require a second staircase.” Could you provide me with a list of these 54 schemes and who the developer is for each one?
  • Question & Answer Session: London's Long-Term Infrastructure Needs (Supplementary) [16]

    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 08 June 2023
Siân Berry AM: Thank you very much, Chair. My questions are going to be to Sir John, I am afraid. I would love to bring in the rest of you, but I do not have time. You have talked before, with my colleagues, about carbon impacts. I assume that your upcoming review is going to look quite seriously at the contribution of investments across different sectors to Government targets of net zero by 2050. My interest is transport and in London we also have our own target of net zero by 2030. I am very interested in the impact of...

  • Affordable housing at OPDC

    • Reference: 2023/1873
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
In the follow-up letter of 31 January 2023 from David Lunts, CEO of OPDC, to the Budget & Performance Committee, he says: “We are proud of our record on affordable housing delivery which stands at 41% - a higher proportion than many boroughs achieve.” However, the Authority Monitoring Report 2021-22 shows that the 41 per cent cited is for both intermediate and affordable housing (see table 5.4: Tenure split of all affordable housing secured through S106 Agreements). The actual total of Affordable Rent Products is 26 per cent by Habitable Room, with only 17 per cent at Social Rent. These...
  • Pentecostal City Mission Church eviction

    • Reference: 2023/1874
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
Residents living around the OPDC area have raised concerns that community infrastructure is not being provided or safeguarded. The Pentecostal City Mission Church, which was located at 2 Scrubs Lane, has been evicted despite the developer having an agreed obligation as part of a Section 106 (S106) agreement to relocate it. The church is now operating the foodbank Mission Food Aid Partnership for hundreds of local residents from an outdoor courtyard requiring a monthly licence. Residents maintain that OPDC did not follow up in a timely manner to enforce the S106 and rehouse this valued community asset. Could you investigate...

    • Reference: 2023/1875
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
A number of residents have contacted me about the delays in getting their deposits back from Green Energy Together (GET-UK). What action are you taking to oversee this process and to ensure that GET-UK meet their obligations within the 14-day timeframe promised?
  • Solar Together Contractor Green Energy Together (7)

    • Reference: 2023/1876
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
Residents are contacting me to complain that Green Energy Together (GET-UK) has left their homes with half-completed solar installations. As GET-UK no longer has an MCS certification, what mechanisms are there to get these installations finished and what is Solar Together doing to oversee them?
  • Solar Together Contractor Green Energy Together (8)

    • Reference: 2023/1877
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
Residents are contacting me to query the often substantial differences in their quotes for solar PV and battery installations between Green Energy Together (GET-UK) and Dynamis, which has replaced the now discredited company. Some of the increases run into the thousands of pounds, and when questioned, customers are told different reasons, for example: “the new price offer is for a better spec system,” or: “because of a price adjustment.” I understand from emails sent by Solar Together to Londoners affected by this scandal that: “the cost you will be offered by the new installer will not be the same as...
