    The World Economic Forum has showcased the Fyllingsdalen Tunnel in Bergen, Norway as a sustainable urban mobility connection, which also functions as an emergency escape route for a parallel tram route. Several new tunnels have been delivered in London with no consideration to using escape routes to also provide for walking and cycling. Will you review the operation of this tunnel to consider how such an approach can be adopted in London to provide walking and cycling connections alongside new tunnels?

    Siân Berry AM: Thank you very much, Chair. Mr Mayor, I want to start with you. I want to talk about the weight of traffic there is coming into London. This really is a burden on Londoners’ shoulders, and it particularly affects outer London near our strategic roads, where there is noise and there is pollution.
