The London Assembly will hold a confirmation hearing on Friday, to assess the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s, proposed appointment to the office of Deputy Mayor for Fire.
The Assembly’s Fire Committee will question:
Jules Pipe CBE - Proposed appointee to the office of Deputy Mayor for Fire.
Questions may cover four key areas:
- Whether the candidate is qualified for the position
- Whether the candidate has the time and capacity for the position
- Whether the candidate is fit (independent and impartial) for the position
- The main responsibilities of the post and the key issues facing the role
Following the hearing, the Committee will make a recommendationto the Mayor as to whether they agree or reject the proposed appointment.[1]
The hearing will take place on Friday 24 May at 1pm in the Chamber at City Hall Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE).
