Head of Paid Service Decisions
The GLA's Chief Officer has the powers as the Head of Paid Service to appoint staff, after consulting with the Mayor and Assembly. The Head of Paid Service Staffing Protocol and Scheme of Delegation outlines these powers and the circumstances in which, and to whom, they are delegated.
In early 2019 it was agreed to publish decisions approved by the Chief Officer to support transparency and openness in decision-making.
