Stanmore Station Car Park public hearing
In their role of making strategic planning decisions, the Mayor may occasionally take over an application, therefore becoming the local planning authority. They must then hold a public hearing before deciding whether or not to grant planning permission.
In this instance, the Deputy Mayor, Jules Pipe, took over the application for the redevelopment of the Stanmore Station Car Park in Harrow.
Withdrawal of application
On Wednesday 11 May 2022, the applicant to decided to withdraw the application. Therefore, the application will not proceed to a public representation hearing. You can view the withdrawal letter below.
Background to the public hearing
On 22 September 2021 Harrow advised the Deputy Mayor that it was minded to refuse planning permission for the application.
On 4 October 2021, having considered a report on the case, the Deputy Mayor notified Harrow that the Mayor would act as the local planning authority for the purposes of determining the planning applications (under article 7 of the Mayor of London Order and the powers conferred by Section 2A of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act).
The local authority reference for this case is P/1221/20. The GLA references are:

Stage 2 - 2020/6713
Stage 3 (called-in) - 2021/1036
