Housing is the most common land use in London, yet there is not enough. Many more homes need to be build, but to achieve this we need to make the best use of available land and ensure homes are of the quality that Londoners deserve. The design of housing can significantly affect the quality of our lives and our mental and physical wellbeing. Well design housing can meet changing needs of its residents and help create great places for new and existing residents.

The Good Quality Homes For All Londoners suite of documents was consulted on between 13 October 2020 and 15 January 2021. Since this consultation, the guidance has been superseded by the following four documents:
What is the Good Quality Homes for all Londoners SPG?
The superseded Good quality homes for all Londoners London Plan Guidance is a set of documents designed to ensure that land is used in the best way to deliver good quality homes that Londoners’ need.
This design guidance is made up of a foreword and four modules that work together to support the implementation of a number of the London Plan’s policies.
