MOPAC and the Metropolitan Police Service are committed to ensuring that the experiences of victims of crime are captured, in order to help us improve victim services. Our surveys help us to make sure that the decisions we make are in line with the views of the people we serve.

To help us to do this, we run the Victim Voice survey. If you have been a victim of crime in London, we would really appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey. Views of victims, both positive and negative, are vital to help us develop.

This survey is an online survey which should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete, although this will vary slightly depending on your experiences as a victim. No one will know who you are, as all feedback is anonymous.

The population in London is one of the most diverse in the world, and it is important to understand the views of lots of different groups of people to assess whether certain groups experience or think about the police differently.

Respondents may choose not to answer the demographic questions if they wish to.

MOPAC and the Metropolitan Police Service will only have access to the responses you give to the questions asked, and they will not be able to identify you or your household.

Where you have provided detailed responses (such as text comments) some of these may be used in reports, but it will not be possible to identify you in these reports.

Your data will be used by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) solely for the purpose of improving the service victims receive. By filling in this survey you agree that we will process your data in line with MOPAC’s privacy policy. For more information, please see our privacy policy or email us.

Any information that you provide will be processed in line with the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you have any other queries on the survey, you can contact the MOPAC Evidence and Insight Unit by email.
