News from Siân Berry: Mayor should help provide more key worker housing

Created on
30 June 2016

Responding to the launch of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry report ‘Living on the edge- Housing London’s Blue light emergency services’ [1]

London Assembly Member Sian Berry said: “With yet more evidence that only a minority of our emergency service workers live in London, the Mayor, must tackle the issue of where our key workers are housed. This should include a return to building key worker housing and more financial incentives for existing workers to live near to where they will be needed in an emergency.”

This month Sian Berry released a report that revealed half of London’s borough police officers live outside London: /press-releases/assembly/sian-berry/where-do-our-borough-officers-live
