The London Assembly has a long-standing position against a third runway at Heathrow.
And today, the Assembly restated its opposition to a third runway at Heathrow airport.
Tony Arbour AM, who proposed the motion said:
“The proposals to build a third runway at Heathrow are completely flawed. Local residents already face unacceptable levels of noise and pollution and any expansion will further exacerbate this. The Assembly, across all parties and administrations has consistently opposed expansion due to the harm it will do the environment of Londoners.
“Today we are making it clear to the new Government that our resolve to oppose this scheme is undiminished and we will continue our battle.”
