Up until the end of September 2020, the Met received an additional 12,107 reports of domestic abuse incidents compared to the same period in 2019. This represents an 8.5 per cent rise in cases this year already compared to the year before.

Other topics to be discussed include:

  • Trust and confidence in policing
  • Brexit and policing
  • Violent crime
  • COVID enforcement
  • Economic crime
  • Antisocial behaviour

The guests are:

  • Cressida Dick DBE QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police
  • Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 11 November 2020 from 2pm. In line with government advice, this meeting will take place virtually.
