Since the beginning of lockdown, nitrogen dioxide levels have reduced by around 35 per cent in the Square Mile. When compared to the average reading in January 2020, the air in this area of London is now cleaner by over a third. How will the Mayor ensure that air quality levels do not rapidly rebound now that lockdown has lifted?
