Police and Crime Committee
The Committee examines the work of the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), which oversees the Metropolitan Police. It also investigates key issues about the police service including serious violence, frontline policing, and counter-terrorism.
Every month, the Committee publicly questions senior representatives from the Metropolitan Police and MOPAC – including the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, and the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Sophie Linden.

- Wrote to the Met Police, NHS England and the London Ambulance Service with recommendations on policing and mental health - March 2024
- Wrote to Met Police Commissioner on how the Met can further strengthen its approach to combat money laundering - February 2024
- Wrote to MOPAC with recommendations on where they could further strengthen its approach to oversight - August 2023
- Wrote to NHS London and DHSC to request further information on how they are working with the LAS to counter-terrorism and radicalisation in London - June 2023
- Wrote to the Mayor of Secretary of State regarding Sir Thomas Winsor's review of the resignation of Dame Cressida Dick as Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis - May 2023
