The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, on Monday visited a memorial to pay his respects to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai in November 2008.

The Mayor, who is on a six-day visit to India and Pakistan, visited the memorial to show solidarity with the major city that suffered terrorist attacks after London suffered four incidents this year.

India’s commercial capital sustained a series of coordinated attacks on the city that left at least 166 people dead, including at the iconic waterfront hotel.

Writing in the memorial book at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the Mayor said: “London stands shoulder to shoulder with Mumbai. Those who try and destroy our way of live will never succeed. We will never forget all those injured or those who died”.
