Outer London transport – out of the loop?
Transport Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am
While some outer London communities are well served by different transport networks, others have limited access to networks or have only one or two types to choose from.
In March 2023 the Mayor announced plans for the Superloop, a network of bus routes he said will expand outer London’s bus network. Reliability on National Rail services is a key issue for outer London residents. However, reduced revenues and changes in passenger behaviour during the pandemic have led to transport operators reducing service provision.
For the second of two meetings on outer London transport, the London Assembly Transport Committee will meet to discuss key opportunities and challenges in relation to rail provision, bus routes and active travel.
