City Hall relocation – two years on

GLA Oversight Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm

The Mayor and the Greater London Authority (GLA) moved to its new office at Royal Docks on 21 March 2022, but two years on, what impact has the move had on the surrounding area, the work of the GLA and is it delivering for Londoners?

The Committee will meet to scrutinise the move two years on, and to look at future plans for parts of the GLA Group estate.

Future trends in London’s transport network

Transport Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am

The Mayor’s Transport Strategy 2018 sets out the vision for the future of London’s transport network over the next two decades. The central aim of the Strategy is for 80 per cent of all trips in London to be made on foot, by cycle or using public transport by 2041.

The London Assembly Transport Committee will meet to investigate emerging transport issues and new technologies that may impact London’s transport network in the future, and which might be themes for inclusion in the next Mayor’s Transport Strategy. The Committee will hear from UK-based and international organisations on the work being done in this sector.

Q&A with GLA Health team 

Health Committee, The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm

In 2018, the Mayor published his Health Inequalities Strategy (HIS). This was updated in the HIS Implementation Plan 2021-24, which was published in December 2021.

The Health Committee will meet to investigate the actions taken by the Mayor to implement the Health Inequalities Strategy Implementation Plan during the current Mayoral term, and what impact these have had on addressing health inequalities in London.
