The Mayor and the Greater London Authority (GLA) moved to its new office at Royal Docks on 21 March 2022, but two years on, what impact has the move had on the surrounding area, the work of the GLA and is it delivering for Londoners?
In October 2023, the GLA Oversight Committee wrote a letter to the GLA Chief Officer, Mary Harpley, regarding the move to the new City Hall building.
This letter included nine recommendations, covering economic growth of the surrounding area, the economic impact of the move and the internal operation of the building itself.
The Committee will meet on Monday to scrutinise the move two years on, and to look at future plans for parts of the GLA Group estate.
The guests at the meeting are:
- Mary Harpley, Chief Officer, GLA
- Simon Grinter, Head of Facilities Management, GLA
- Simon Powell, Director of Land and Property, GLA
- Daniel Bridge, Royal Docks Programme Director, GLA
The meeting will take place on Monday 11 March from 2pm, in the Chamber, at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
