The Mayor is responsible for an overall budget of £20.7 billion, and ahead of the draft consolidated budget being produced, the Greater London Authority (GLA) Group will present its budget plans to the London Assembly.

Over the coming months, the London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee will meet to scrutinise all aspects of the Mayor’s budget, looking at each part of the GLA Group, including the GLA, Transport for London and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).

The Committee will meet tomorrow for the first part of this scrutiny process, with senior GLA officers being quizzed on the GLA budget plans for 2024/25, considering the impact of increasing inflation rates and staff costs, and also proposals for use of GLA reserves.

The guests are:

  • David Bellamy, Mayor’s Chief of Staff, GLA
  • Richard Watts, Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, GLA
  • Mary Harpley, Chief Officer, GLA
  • Enver Enver, Acting Chief Finance Officer and Director Group Finance & Performance, GLA
  • Tunde Olayinka, Executive Director for Communities and Social Policy, GLA
  • Phil Graham, Executive Director, Good Growth, GLA
  • Niran Mothada, Executive Director, Strategy and Communications, GLA
  • Shakira Keddo, Assistant Director of HR and Organisational Development, GLA

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 21 November 2023 from 10am, in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
