Your request
I can see from the Datahub that the number of homes reported as built on small sites in Enfield recently significantly increased.
The LPA say this may be due to changes in the monitoring methodology. I have had a look and cannot see how the methodology changed, so was hoping you might be able to explain. Also, does it suggest that small sites may have been underrepresented in previous years?
Our response
The changes in the monitoring methodology relate to the changes relating to the residential units with a change type of Loss. Previously we were counting these based on the date in the actual completion date field however from 1st April 2019 we changed to count these units on the actual commencement date instead. Our approach was designed to more accurately reflect when units were actually lost than when the overall development was completed.
We do hold a large amount of planning application data that is available via an API. Details of which are available in the “How can I access the Datahub?” section of our Planning London Datahub (PLD) page
