Biography
Simon is responsible for the leadership of the GLA’s specialist land and property team; the management and development of the GLA’s 635 hectare land and property portfolio; oversight and direction of the Royal Docks delivery team; land acquisition and CPO activity; and, leading the GLA’s role on wider public sector land release including the GLA’s Functional Bodies.
Simon joined the GLA in 2012, having previously worked at the Homes & Communities Agency and English Partnerships. Prior to joining the public sector, Simon was a consultant project manager for the Symonds Group for nine years.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the leadership of the GLA’s specialist land and property team; the management and development of the GLA’s 635ha strategic land and property portfolio; land acquisitions; all CPO activity; senior level technical and professional property advice; and the management of all related procurement matters, including the London Development Panel.
The Assistant Director is also responsible for leading the GLA’s role in public sector land release including the GLA Functional Bodies, government bodies and the wider public sector.
