Biography

Rebecca is responsible for leading the Committee Services Team, which provides meetings support to: the London Assembly, a range of Mayoral Boards including the London Economic Action Partnership; the Transport for London Board and its committees; the London Legacy Development Corporation Board and its committees; and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation Board and its committees, ensuring those meetings operate efficiently and effectively, and in accordance with agreed internal and statutory requirements. 

The Committee Services Team also coordinates and administers the GLA’s decisions processes (i.e. Mayoral Decisions, Director Decisions, Assistant Director Decisions and Greater London Returning Officer Decisions – GLROs).

Rebecca is additionally responsible for the provision of high-quality Member Services support to the London Assembly’s Green, Brexit Alliance and Liberal Democrat Members/Groups.

Rebecca has a degree in politics and worked in local government before joining the GLA in 2006. She worked in a number of roles in the Committee Services Team before being appointed to the role of Assistant Director in 2017. 

Rebecca lives in Streatham with her husband and two small children.

Responsibilities

Responsible for provision of high quality support to the London Assembly, including support for Members in their role as Assembly Members; ensuring the Authority’s decision making and democratic processes operate efficiently and effectively, and that Assembly business is conducted within agreed policy and statutory requirements; managing the provision of committee services and associated functions to other parts of the GLA under formal shared services agreements.
