Biography

Jeremy Skinner is Assistant Director of Strategy, Insight and Intelligence which provides co-ordination of the development of the GLA's key strategies and policies.

The unit also provides economic, demographic, geographic, opinion and other research, intelligence, analysis and advice to the rest of the GLA Group and London boroughs and supports the Mayor’s chief digital officer and the digital transformation of services in the city.

Jeremy has worked at the GLA since 2005 in a variety of roles. He has previously worked at HM Treasury, PA Consulting Group and trained as a chartered public finance accountant with the Audit Commission.

He studied History at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the effective co-ordination of the development of the GLA's key strategies and policies, in line with evolving Mayoral priorities.

To ensure the effective delivery of a high quality economic and social analysis to support the GLA’s strategies and policies.

Provide recognised leadership on the associated agendas of smart cities and city data to bring about the transmission of technology and innovation into a public services setting. In pursuit of the above, lead, manage and motivate staff within the unit and other GLA staff, and provide visible co-ordination and leadership across a range of city networks, including the Mayor of London’s Smart London Board, supporting the Chief Digital Officer.
