Biography
Elliott joined the GLA as Interim Director Group Finance and Performance in October 2023. He has worked in the GLA Group since 2017, the majority of that time spent in senior finance roles in the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime.
Before joining the GLA Group Elliott spent 12 years in central government working in a variety of economist and public spending roles in the Treasury and Cabinet Office.
Elliott lives in South East London with his partner and two young children.
Responsibilities
To lead and manage the Group Finance Unit and develop the required financial strategy across the GLA Group to ensure the Mayor’s objectives are met through delivery of the Mayor’s annual budget.
Responsibilities include:
- leading the development of the consolidated budgets for the GLA Group
- developing and supporting an integrated financial monitoring regime for the GLA and GLA Group
- securing greater efficiency and effectiveness across the GLA Group and the wider London public sector through promoting and delivering collaboration and shared services
