Biography

Dan specialises in programme design and implementation. Over the past five years he has developed various housing programmes including Building Council Homes for Londoners and the Building Safety Fund.

As Head of Area for North West London, Dan manages the strategic relationship with numerous local authorities and development partners working to increase the supply of genuinely affordable homes in London.

Before joining the Housing and Land Directorate, Dan worked in the scrutiny team at the GLA, supporting London Assembly committees to conduct investigations across numerous policy areas. Prior to that, Dan worked for Grant Thornton.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of the Mayor’s housing-led regeneration programmes and projects of all tenures across his portfolio, including the largest and most complex delivery projects in London and implementation of the Mayors flagship Affordable Housing Programme. The Head of Area and their respective teams act as both direct commissioner and client, delivering over 15,000 homes each year, working closely with London boroughs, registered providers and others to develop and deliver their housing and regeneration ambitions alongside the Mayor’s housing targets and corporate objectives.

The Head of Area acts as expert technical, policy and delivery advisor within the Greater London Authority and across the Mayoral family, leading and advising on complex projects, investments and funding programmes. The Head of Area also advises and brokers affordable housing investment in the Mayor’s Development Corporations, across the commercial Transport for London portfolio and with other functional bodies in the GLA group.
