Alex Conway

Biography

Alex leads the Economic Development and Programmes Unit, which is responsible for programmes, policy and strategy relating to the Mayor’s economic and business priorities including economic development strategy, business engagement, sponsorship of London & Partners and the London Living Wage, Good Work Standard and Anchor Institutions Network. 
Programme responsibilities include  London’s European Union jobs and growth funds, which continue until 2023-24; and their successor domestic programme, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. He is also the Deputy Greater London Returning Officer; with responsibility for managing Mayor of London and London Assembly elections.

Alex is a lifelong Londoner, who has previously held senior roles in the civil service, a London borough and regional government.
