As the Local Planning Authority, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is responsible for all planning functions and decisions on planning applications for its area. The Mayor set up OPDC as a Mayoral Development Corporation in April 2015.

If you are interested in finding out more about current planning applications, you can visit our consultation page.

Search for a planning application

Use our planning register to find information and comment on a current planning application in the Old Oak and Park Royal area or to search for determined applications.

Search for information held on the OPDC Planning Register using the planning reference number or part of an address.

If you have any problems in accessing the register, please contact Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation Planning Team via email or on 020 7983 6520.

Applications delegated to Ealing and Brent Councils

Some applications in the OPDC area are delegated to the local borough to determine. The OPDC planning register will state if an application has been delegated. Full details of these applications will be available on the boroughs’ planning registers:

Pre-application advice

If you intend to make a planning application within the OPDC boundary area, we encourage you to seek pre-application advice, particularly if your scheme is large or raises complex planning issues. Discussing your proposals with us prior to submitting a planning application can help to speed up the process of getting planning permission and improve the likelihood of your application being approved by identifying any changes necessary to ensure compliance with relevant planning policies. The cost of pre-application advice will depend on the scale and nature of your proposals. You can find out more about how to request pre-application advice and what information you will need to provide by visiting our Pre-application advice service page.

Submitting a planning application to OPDC

Planning applications relating to land within the OPDC boundary must be submitted to the Development Corporation.

Delegation of applications to local boroughs

In certain circumstances, we may delegate the handling of your application to the local borough; we will notify you if we decide to do this. Information on the types of applications likely to be delegated to the local borough can be found here:

On 1st April 2024, the types of applications that OPDC normally delegates to LB Ealing changed. Only applications to discharge or vary conditions (under Section 73 or Section 96a) attached to planning permissions issued by LB Ealing will be delegated after this date.

How to submit a planning application

The simplest way to submit a planning application is online via the Planning Portal.

Registration is easy and you can submit your planning application forms and supporting documents electronically. The benefits of applying online include:

  • immediate delivery and acknowledgement
  • savings on postage and printing costs
  • online help when completing applications
  • online record of your applications
  • online payment

Please note that a planning application cannot be progressed until all the necessary supporting information and the appropriate fee is received.

Paying for a planning application

Your planning application must be accompanied by the correct fee. The government sets Planning Application Fees, which apply across the country.

For help calculating the fee for your planning application, we recommend using the Planning Portal’s Fee Calculator.

The easiest way to pay your application fee is by making an online payment when submitting a planning application via the Planning Portal.

Planning application requirements

OPDC has published a validation checklist setting out the documents required to support a planning application.
