From the first Ottoman ambassador visiting the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in the 1790s to Duse Muhammad Ali the teacher of Marcus Garvey living in the borough. There are also a few mosques established now in Lambeth but where were the original Muslim prayer places? We will see a few alongside past and modern Islamic Inspired architecture.
