In celebrating Black History Month, join us for a delightful night of conversation, chaired by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, featuring Professor Kevin Fenton and Professor Dame Donna Kinnair DBE.

Their conversation will be around the theme of leadership roles, whilst celebrating Black Leadership in London; Past, Present and Future.

Professor Kevin Fenton

Kevin is the regional director of Public Health, OHID DHSC, NHS London & Statutory Health Advisor to the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority. He joined Public Health England (PHE) on 12 November 2012, working in a variety of public health roles across government and academia, before joining the PHE board in 2020 as the London regional director. Prior to this, Kevin held a joint position as Strategic Director of Place and Wellbeing and Director of Public Health (DPH) at London Borough of Southwark, leading the council’s planning, regeneration, community engagement and public health portfolios driving inclusive regeneration, asset-based community development and promoting health in all policies.

Professor Dame Donna Kinnair DBE

Donna is a non-executive Director at East London Foundation Trust, she was the General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) until June 2021. She was responsible for delivering the RCN’s strategic and operational plans and promoting patient and nursing interests on a wide range of issues. Donna has held various roles, prior to joining the RCN, including clinical director of emergency medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust, also advising the PM’s Commission on the future of Nursing and Midwifery in 2010.
