Join London Funders for this virtual event which will share the learning generated by funders’ collaborative response to the pandemic and lockdown during the last year.
The session will hear from funders on how they have delivered differently during the crisis, including funding small, equity led organisations and community groups. The event will also include a discussion with audience members, focusing on how funders- including public sector funders, independent foundations, social and corporate investors- can best support the building of strong communities as we head into recovery.
Speakers for the event are:
- Mike Wilson, Executive Director, Pembroke House (A centre for social action and residential community in Walworth, South London)
- James Fitzpatrick, Director, Joseph Levy Foundation (an independent charitable grantmaking trust, supporting non-profit organisations that help those most in need in their communities)
- Farah Elahi, Head of Community Engagement (Acting) Greater London Authority
- Samantha Grimmett- Batt, Funding Manager, City Bridge Trust (London's largest independent grant-maker distributing around £25m a year to tackle disadvantage, reduce inequality & grow stronger, more resilient communities)
