Join London Funders for a virtual session to explore what is next for the collaborations and communities at the heart of London’s place-based giving movement.
Based on the notion that we can all give something - time, skills and money - place based giving channels those resources into aligned action that strategically addresses neighbourhood need in a joined-up way. With an ear to the ground and a finger on the pulse, London’s Giving movement is breaking new ground on how communities can solve issues such as poverty, exclusion, loneliness, mental health and unemployment, from the grassroots.
The event will be an opportunity to hear more and learn about the role place-based giving can play in building strong communities. This event is for community groups, local authorities, independent funders and civil society already active in the placed-based giving movement or who want to explore how they might engage with it.
The speakers for the event are:
- Kamerun Miah, Participatory Advisor, Camden Giving
- Savraj Kaur, Executive Director, United Hammersmith and Fulham
- Kristina Glenn, Advisor, London’s Giving
- Rachel Engel, Regional Head, Macquarie Group Foundation
