Civic Infrastructure: what is it, why do we need it now? How do we design & create it?
Join The National Lottery Community Fund and Greater London Authority for an afternoon workshop about how and why civic infrastructure supports communities to thrive.
Kicking off with a series of provocations, we’ll use this 2.5-hour session to work together to unpack what we mean by the term ‘civic infrastructure. We’ll look at what it can contribute to communities and its significance during particularly turbulent times. We’ll discuss how we can design and build the civic infrastructure we need to work together towards the better futures we’re imagining.
The afternoon consists of several provocations, presentations and workshops. It’s formed around a series of questions: come prepared to interrogate these, to contribute your ideas and knowledge.
This event is for you if
- You’re interested in infrastructure, and want to understand more about what it is and how it supports communities to thrive.
- You already work with infrastructure, and you’re keen to explore with peers how we can improve and expand what we do to contribute towards the creation of better futures.
We’ll be using Zoom, and breaking out into relatively small facilitated groups where your experiences and opinions will drive the conversation.
