Behind London’s creative success story are the 816,000 Londoners working across the creative economy. With big bold ideas and the creativity to turn them into a reality, this creative talent is the key to our future growth.

Supporting Londoners with raw talent

The Mayor has launched Skills for Londoners to make sure all Londoners have the opportunity to train for London businesses. One the Skills for Londoners Taskforce is Seetha Kumar is CEO of Creative Skillset who will do just that, dedicated to the creative industries.

There are so many exciting creative careers both in and out of the spotlight.

There are performers, costume and lighting designers and choreographers creating productions in the West End, enabling 32,000 people to enjoy a show every night.

Or cinematographers, producers, VFX experts, location scouts and scenic carpenters that have driven a 30% growth in London’s film industry.

How about the designers, pattern cutters, product developers, bespoke tailors who have put both Men’s and Women’s Fashion Week a top fashion capital?

And we can’t forget the artists, fabricators, small galleries and frame shops whose work puts London in the top 3 global art capitals with a market of £9.2 billion.
