The Hounslow Creative Enterprise Zone is the largest geographically of all six zones. It builds on Hounslow’s reputation as a leader in TV and film production, the zone area is home to nearly half of all of London’s television and broadcasting jobs. Great West Creatives focuses on strengthening local networks and curating connectivity by engaging large multinational media companies such as Sky, Paramount, CBS, QVC, Disney, Sony and Pokémon to work closer with local creative and digital companies and access local expertise, helping boost supply chains. It is helping to build the area’s reputation for TV and Film production by using council assets to unlock new affordable work, production and studio space, and has delivered a masterplan to pinpoint commercial, creative production and live-work space.

The Hounslow Zone is also bolstering connectivity through place-making initiatives to bring creatives together in new ways; with delivery underway of a new arts market and 15 new artist studios at Boston Manor House and Park in 2022; promoting cultural venues using vacant units in town centres, and developing industrial land surrounding the Grand Union canal. A skills and employment programme will ensure residents are able to develop skills in demand by in-borough employers, particularly in the film and media production sector.
