Jewish history walk around Whitechapel

Date: Thursday 06 October 2022

Time: 2:00pm to 3:30pm

We will be walking through and past: a Roman gate, Medieval Church, sculptures, Synagogues Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Dutch. We'll learn about Jack the Ripper, Monasteries, Basketball heroes, Entertainers, Painters and street markets. We'll explore stories of Chaucer, to the Huguenot, Irish, Jewish and Sylhet migrants through to socialists, revolutionaries and soup kitchens.

This walk covers all this and more! I hope you can come and contribute to the story.
