Date: Saturday 08 October 2022

Time: 2:30pm to 4:00pm

Cost: Free

What is the Day of the Girl Child? What is it to be born a girl? Our workshop examines girls’ and women's desire for equal opportunities for all in the 19th century and asks how much has changed.

To mark this Day, Pascal Theatre Company invites 13-16 year-old girls to talk about their experiences as 'girl children'.

Every girl feels that her experience is fresh but she may be reassured to learn of others fighting similar battles in the 19th century. This is a stimulating enquiry into how a girl may achieve her ambitions and an opportunity to make connections between past and present.

The workshop will involve discussion and role play (optional for those who are shy!)

Refreshments provided.

This walk is free to the public thanks to funding from the Mayor of London's Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm.
