Not many people know that the African National Congress (ANC) had their British headquarters in Islington, that the Eritrean Embassy is based in Islington and that a once famous Egyptologist lived in the area, writing about her adventures in Egypt.
Come on this walk to see where the first Black arts centre was opened in London. Avril's Walks and Talks will walk you around the area regaling you with tales at each stop of all the exciting and interesting things that have happened there.
This is one not to be missed!
