Getting out in green spaces is good for your health and wellbeing. Amazingly, almost half of London is green or blue. Parks, community gardens, woodlands, waterways and footpaths: the capital is full of hidden gems to explore.

Here's how:

Why is it good to get outdoors?

London’s parks, green spaces and natural landscapes are where Londoners can relax, exercise and play. We know that spending time in green spaces is good for our physical health and mental wellbeing.

As a National Park City, London will be a city where everyone can enjoy high quality green spaces, clean air and clean waterways, where more people choose to walk and cycle.

Let us know how you’re exploring London’s great outdoors. Share your photos on social media with the hashtag #NationalParkCity.

The Mayor is calling on Londoners to do simple things to make our city greener as part of his contribution to London being the world's first National Park City.
