London Power News

It’s been six months since London Power welcomed its first customers in January 2020. The world has changed a lot since then, but we are proud of all we’ve accomplished so far in our mission to bring a different kind of energy company to London. With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting many Londoners across the city, we decided to scale back on our plans for promoting London Power. Nevertheless, almost 3,000 customers have already switched, and we plan to keep growing to help more Londoners benefit. Fair, affordable and green energy for Londoners - something we could all use in this time of uncertainty.

Highlights

  • London Power, the Mayor’s new energy company, launched on 13 January 2020 with 2 tariffs - my london fixed yearly plan and my london top-up plan. Both plans offer 100% renewable electricity and fair prices for the long-term
  • In April, we expanded our offer with 3 new tariffs:
    • my london carbon-neutral plan lets Londoners go even greener - in addition to 100% renewable electricity, with this plan all gas used by customers is offset, meaning Londoners can warm their homes without warming the planet
    • my london fixed 24-month plan lets Londoners lock-in great prices for 2 years, securing long-term low prices
    • my london carbon-neutral 24-month plan combines the best of both worlds - carbon-neutral energy with prices locked-in for 2 years
  • my london carbon-neutral plan is currently one of the cheapest carbon-neutral tariffs on the market in London
