Wednesday 15 January 2014 – Old Theatre Hostel Visit

The Housing Committee will complete its investigation into rough sleepers in London with a site visit to the Old Theatre Hostel in Hammersmith. Members of the Housing Committee will visit the hostel and meet with some of the occupants.

Budget and Performance Committee - 10.00am in the Chamber

The Committee will question the Mayor, Boris Johnson, on his draft budget for 2014-15, including his plans to fund London’s transport services and the Metropolitan Police Service.

Plenary – 10.00am in the Chamber

The London Assembly will question the policies and work of the London Legacy Development Cooperation and examine whether the legacy is on track to reach its long term goals.

The following guests will be questioned:

Mayor Boris Johnson, Chairman LLDC

Neale Coleman, Deputy Chairman LLDC, and Mayor’s Advisor

Dennis Hone, Chief Executive, LLDC

The Assembly will also be questioning Clive Betts MP, Chair of House of Commons Communities and Local Government Select Committee, about the report: ‘The GLA Act 2007 and the London Assembly.’

Police and Crime Committee – 10.00am in the Chamber

The Committee will discuss forward planning by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and the Metropolitan Police Service for spending, performance and governance. The Committee will scrutinise key decisions in regards to the 2014/15 budget submission along with analysing MOPAC’s internal restructure.
